It's been long ...

God .. it’s been long .. very very long ..
not exactly the words with which I would like to have resumed my Blogging ..

This is the blog where I did most of my blogging .. [which is very little] .. still I felt the compulsion to start everything back where it was left off ..

The batch is onto to its 8th Semester .. that's pretty big ... my last blog entry was in the fourth semester ..
there is a lot of ground to cover in between .. something .. to which justice can't be done ..

a lot has happened .. everything for the good .. I just don't know where to start ..

starting with the good things ...

The Campus has not come yet .... and there is only about a year and half left for us in this place ..
pretty sure that it won't come up in that short time .. :) ..
I am not sad about it at all .. in fact quite happy [ inside the city, with Wi-Fi ! ]... I just hope our juniors would be able to study in their new campus .. .

the Coming of Wi-Fi network to the Uni was probably the best thing that has happened ...
Social networking is not banned in the uni,, hence we could see half the uni connected via facebook or orkut during the Uni's hours ... the net is really very slow .. but a leased line is underway .. [sadly the network can't support lan gaming that efficiently ]

things have changed a bit here and there in the University .. good changes .. like Westlaw , Manupatra ... gone are the days .. when for Moot research ...we could only do some midnight surfing on some Law Firm's Manu ID \\ and God I never thought the stance taken by Registrar and the acting Vc regarding this would have changed .. well what do you know /? .

CLAT was another big big change .. The crowd in the Uni's still Mallu dominant .. but the rest of the crowd ain't a puny minority anymore ..more importantly to change the whole deeply shrouded admission procedure , where the entrance marks of students were marked confidential until " THE INTERVIEW " to ensure "QUALITY" .. was quite something .. now things are more transparent... with the authorities more concerned about providing hostel facilities and the alike to the students who haplessly has to rely on the UNi .. .

The University also started its LLm Course .. it is just a bit Sad that the Conference Hall was taken up by those guys .. gone are the days when we could hear, and see the big fights happening within a MOOT team ..
speaking of Moots .. the Uni has through its continuous reforms made sure that ... if it all any team wins a Moot.. the team members can very well try their luck at a lottery ...with about 25-30 hrs of research for moot available .. and the refusal to go above rs.4 per page only for memo ...and most of all the animosity the team has to face from the faculty has resulted ... in ill-researched teams reluctant to take print out for Compendiums ... and very well questioning them self whether mooting is truly worth all the trouble? ..

The Internal Moot Competition continues to be a mockery and plain repulsive to grey cells .. just the way it used to be !

this and more has happened to the University ...
Two new batches joined ever since the last post.... Nuals seems to be in safe hands ... for the time being ..
they seem to have the hope .. that we might have comprised on in the past ..
Progress only comes through struggle, or constant nagging .. if neither of these are resorted to by the new kids.. things to happen shall take a lot of time for them .. as far as we are concerned ...

we are more focused on passing out now .. I guess .

What up ???

Aha ... dusting away the cobwebs of inactvity... i feel the time is ripe for some activity.

The third semster is long over, We are in the Fourth semster now, with one Series of Internals OVer...

This time we have, Speical Contracts, Family Law, Statisitcs, Constitution, INternational LAw.

ah .. so done with the Boring part...

We had our Arts Day ,,,

well this one was totaly different from the Arts day we have had the year before.

This time,, NO FOOD was thr, less parents ,, and about the events,, i could not see everything ..

becuase everything was over by 9.30 ...

Our batch as usual, came up with most number of participants for almost every event ..

Participation is our Policy !

Its kinda sad, the turn out was very less for this Arts day, however there was a DJ event ..which was something that was not expected ..


well,,, we did try to Organise a Counter Strike Gaming tournament ..

then again , all the other batches just proved that they could not keep up with us ,, The Fourth Years had a team i guess ,, but still no formal registration was made...

ONly two teams regsitered and that too from our Own batch . It's very sad to see the State of Natioanl Law University with no gaming ...

ah ,, i could go on speaking about it ... anyways ..

The Blog will be opened up for the CCR co-ordinators to put up their notices ..


and yes i am inviting Pictures.... the moment i get them , i will put it up ..

My mind wants to write a lot more ..
will be writting a lot soon ..

aha ....life in 3rd sem till now !!

Life has this good habbit or maybe bad habbit of changing a lot ..
change seems to be the only constant thing, and yes our lives keep on changing ..as the sem progresses ..

Not very eventful, but quite ok ..

The Arrival of Juniors was one big event, just like an over hyped up bolywood flick ..
and like almost all the overhyped up flicks it just floped..for the very reasons we were awarded a restraining order of about 20 yards or something ,..
the moment anyone got close to that class ,, which was almost always locked up ...there would have been an intervention from the faculty..

however i was a bit occupied with certain other things, and i could not attend to juniors ...


and well ,,elections were done with .. and it was an eye-opener .....

and well two project submission,, and some presnetaions were over ..and two series of internals over..

Now, the juniors were thr, and after some time , the restraining order was relaxed ....and so one could say the DVD sales of that movie was good ...tho it floped on screen//

We conducted the freshers ... the competitons held before the freshers ,,well was not fresh enough ..
THe freshers was a good event ,, thanks to the Dance perfomers of our batch ..innovative and well danced .. good song selection ..a nice theme ..

and well ...i would have posted the pics.. but i just don't have them ..despite putting up many requests in the orkut community,, no one seems to have pics now ,, though many were taking many pictures ..

then again the story of the orkut community is somehting else ///

i will be writting on everything, since this blog is not visited much ,, i guess ,, no harm shall be done....

Then came the onam celebrations ... well things were nothing different,,govind won a prize..and ammu was selected as the well dressed,,, other than that ..the tug of war team put up valiant efforts ..
and well about the pookalam...we managed to avoid disqualfication ..

This is all that has happened till now ./.

Life's moving good,,, its not the same .. its better for me ,,

and oh yeha ,,forgot to mention ,, the Juniors are really nice ... they are very forutnate too ,, never had any sorta ragging as far as i know .. [ which is very little ].. and well the sex ratio in their batch ,, is something to be take note of..
and their batch has the best "tug of war" girls team .. in the whole uni...

and yeha .. they are fortunate to have us as their immediate seniors. !

3rd Sem Attack !!!

The third sem is here ...
this sem started off with surprises ...
first of all we were informed about the restructuring of our syllabus ...

so now we have Law of crimes 2 , law of contracts 1, Law of torts and consumer protection , legal methods and political science ... now this can be seen as a very big improvement in the eyes of the optimist ... infact it is ...
however in the eyes of the pessismist , it just means an all the more harder semster ..
which is also very true ..


well , the major events we had so far was a sent off orgainsed 4th year, 3r d year and us ...
hehe needlees to say .. we were not much involved in it ,, i seriosuly don't know why ..

however thinking from another viewpoint, yes we were invovled ....
we shouted a lot...
and there was a dance programme from our batch ,,,

hats off to Shiva and Gautam for their breathtaking dancing perfomance ...

and the guys of the class were dancing in the crowd too ..some were standing and cheering em ..
and some girls of the class to stood to show their appreciation ...and this act should be commended and we do expect to see more like this ...


and well other than all these things ..
we have been given all the project topics and all ..

i would not want to bring shame to this blog by giving more extensive details of the academic matters ..
however if any ony feels to know , maybe i will let you know what's happening on a personal level ...

and , btw i gotta a REQUEST TO MAKE PLS BE ACTIVE IN OUR ORKUT COMMUNITY !!!

hehe ... sorry was just plain lazy...

well ... i should say its one of the most curious aspects of human behaviour ...
one finds its easy to blog when there are exams , when there are projects, and presntaions and so on ,,,

the exams were long over ...
we did enjoy one fantastic ... [ or boring ] vaccation, which can be also called as our internship period ...

Majority , almost all of them in the class had a wonderfull time , it was all our people 's first shot at internship [ except for rishi, who already did one by then ] ..

some got real regal treatment from some nice hearted Judges [ swati, anna and manju ] //

and lakshmi also had the privellege of interning at a place where canteen was free ...

and many had little work , nice air conditoned office .. and some had good work experience too , inculding field research and even surveys !!

so .. this was all that happened till the Uni reopened ..

History is History !!!

Finaly....History is over, man we thought this one was going to be real tough, but it turned out to be otherwise

there was so much to study from, yet iam sure everyone who has studies the important sections will be getting good marks ... if not pass marks ..

and the internal results were also kinda out, yet to be published tho....

Now, don't get carried away by the name...

We had our Law of Crimes paper couple of days back ..
now , this paper sticked to the formats of earlier papers,,,,i can't see reason why i said that, it did not make our lives any better ,.. still if it made for some...

i should say i liked the part B of the question paper...

the problem part. now had every question paper had something like that, then it would have been real tough , but a more accurate analysis of what we know ..

now. comes the next exam ... boy oh boy ,... will keep you updated.
